Austrian Alpine Club Mountaineering School

The Austrian Alpine Club’s Mountaineering School was set up in 1963 and is one of the largest mountaineering schools in Austria. It specialises in training for all mountaineering disciplines and also offers a comprehensive Alpine management course, which includes visiting special locations around the world.

In 2008, a new team consisting of Michael Larcher, Walter Würtl and Gabi Pfeifer began managing the Alpine Club’s Mountaineering School. The newly designed prospectus “Ways to Freedom 08" is a clear sign of the new departure and shows certain similarities with the successful mountaineering magazine "Berg und Steigen" (“Mountain and Climbing“)! Both the editorial content and the graphics are designed to position the Alpine Club’s Mountaineering School as the right choice for people seeking a more personal mountaineering experience.
